River trips are an amazing way to get into remote places for weeks at a time. Still reeling after two weeks in the most grand of canyons.

One of my favorite things about camping and backpacking is discovering little gems like this that are off the beaten path.

Is there any combination more magical than a hillside of aspen in fall and backlighting?

The aspen up Green Creek are beginning to put on their fall colors.

The lenticular clouds were on point last night. Did you know that these clouds form because of eddies? That’s right, air can make eddies just like water in rivers. Air moving over mountains will form eddies. Given the right temperature and moisture content, air in the troposphere moving over large eddies will form lenticular clouds. Makes them even cooler doesn’t it?
